Who am I?

Hi! I am Ying-Chen Chou. I grew up on a beautiful country called Taiwan in East Asia and currently lives in California, USA. I completed my Master degree in Statistics on June 2017 and work as a Data Analyst now. My life goal is to become a person who can make the world better by exercing my knowledge for data and my passion for technology.

    As a statistics major for 6 years, I've taken several courses including Regression, ANOVA, Time Series Analysis, Categorical Data Analysis, Statistical Computing. I have skills in R, Python, SQL, Tableau, and Git. My interest in statistics is wide. I am intersted in the field including business, biostatistics, social science and environmental issue. As a student in business school during my bachelor years, my research mainly focused on analyzing business data and provide recommendations to improve performance of companies. Recently, I pay more attention to data visualization and Machine Learning. In near future, there will be more project about my work in data science uploaded.

    More about me

    I love eating, cooking and baking! Before I come to UC Davis for my master degree, I even planed to enroll in the program in Le Cordon Bleu to advance my skills in baking. Also, I enjoyed travel. During the summer break in 2016, my friend and I went on a road trip and drove 17000 miles in 66 days to made our dream of traveling around the United State come true!!
